Very sad time for Leta and I, our very good friend and sister Melba Fern Speir of more than 50 years passed away to her new home in heaven, May 19th. Sure going to miss our visits and calls. See you soon.

Went to see our Great Grand Children, Alyssa (6) Maddy almost 3 and Sylas almost 2, Sat March 14th as always we had much fun.

Leta is still having problems with her blood pressure but the Doctors are working hard to correct it. Things are getting a little better around this place.  God is good.

Well, not a good 4 months, starting on October 7, 2014 I had Hernia surgery and had to leave the hospital with catheter. Than Leta and I had the Bronchitis Thru Christmas for about 4 weeks than on January 27, 2015 had to have prostate surgery, after 4 months I got to get rid of the catheter. Sure Hope this is over for a while. Thank God for all the good thins in our life.

On the bright side if things go well we will get to go pickup the great grand daughters, 3/7/2015 for spring break and that will be much fun.

Well, today was a very sad day in our life.  Our 3 Great Grand kids, Alyssa, Maddy and Sylas moved to Justin, TX .  Leta and I have been very close to these kids. I know that it is only 104 miles away. but we have been with these kids 2 or 3 times a week and have had much fun with them.  We will still see them but not as much.  And I know that it could have been much worse because they were first talking about moving to Arizona and at our age we would not be able to travel there.

July 11, 1968, 53 years ago I married the love of my life and it's only got better.  We just thought we were in love then. With all the ups and downs the good has far out weighted the bad and our love has grown so very much in 53 years together.  If I had to do it all over I would want to do it with my sweet wife.

Sure do hope this is the last bad news I will be posting for a very long time.
Our very good friend (Nancy Cheek) for the last 38 years passed away on 3/1/2014 and her funeral was on 3/5/2014.  Sad time but we are looking to the future with God's help we will move on toward good times.

On the lighter side today, I would like to introduce you to our newest Grand Daughter, Precious Ireland,   She is 11 weeks old and very pretty.

 

About 4 or 5 weeks ago we got really bad news about our long time friend,  The Doctor says she has a really fast moving cancer and that there is nothing they can do for her, she is now in Hospice just waiting.  If there is a good part to this is that she is a wonderful Christian and soon she will be in the presents of God and will be in no pain.  We feel so sad for her family but know that God will see them thru this.   We are really going to miss her until that day when we meet again.

Last two weeks have not been good.  Week before last I had the flu worse than I have ever had it,  thought I was about to die, finally got over it  and than a few days later my wife got it and was really sick,  but she is much better today so I guess we have licked it .  God was with us and seen us thru it. 

Well this is the first blog since our in-in-law of thrity seven years passed away on Oct 27th. We our on the long road of healing. But I know we will make it because GOD is holding our hand lifting us up.

Now we are on our way to Christmas which is going to be very hard but with three GREAT GRAND KIDS,  we could not pass it up because they are very excited.  So GOD will see us through it.  So here we go for the kids.

Passed away on October 27, 2013.  You will be very much missed.
But we will see you again very soon.  We know you are having a
great reunion in Heaven with your loved ones that have gone on before you.

Leta, Debbie and I went to Fort Worth today, 7/20/2013 to celebrate my brother, Felton,s 80th birthday.
We had a very good visit and some really good food at Spring 
Creek Bar-B-Q.  
 About 60 people attended
